Events Mainly for Friends of the Museum; Rambles

Ramble.

Aside from general opportunities to participate in the activities of the Friends of the Railroad Museum, members have access to other opportunities, including special escorted rambles.

Conn. Ramble.
  • Members are accorded first priority for the Rambles that are held several times a year to points of interest to historians and railroad enthusiasts. Joint arrangements are also made with kindred groups for special travel opportunities.
  • Special events, such as Trains and Troops, and Home for the Holidays. 

  • Other benefits, such as free admission to the Museum and Milepost, are described on the general membership page.

2015 Rambles:

These very special opportunities are limited, require advance registration and payment. Non-members are welcome as space allows. These represent a wonderful chance to see unusual rail venues and to make great friends. Details coming!
